EPMS Limited New Lightweight 45 inch, 7.5 kW circular magnet

EPMS Limited has recently supplied a new, lightweight 45-inch, 7.5kW circular lifting magnet to a scrap metal recycling company in Coventry.Manufactured entirely at our Birmingham facility, this magnet features custom-wound coils and precision machining. It is built with a robust case, an 8mm manganese bump plate, and 50mm wear protection on both the centre and outer poles. Additionally, it includes three 3-tonne chains, ensuring reliable operation in demanding environments.We designed this magnet to be ideal for scrap handling cranes, with a weight of just over 1000kg, making it both light and nimble without compromising on strength. The coil windings are wound to Class H specifications and encapsulated in epoxy resin to prevent water ingress, ensuring long-lasting performance.Despite its compact size, the 7.5kW magnet delivers exceptional lifting power for its diameter, offering impressive performance. The customer was extremely pleased with both the magnet and our fitting service, highlighting the quality and efficiency of EPMS Limited’s solutions.
